We’re now in the third year of the first verification period under the current Responsible Distribution 2023 (RD23) requirements – and for many of our members, their second verification is fast approaching. To help with these preparations, ASK has introduced a new training course, Responsible Distribution 2023: Code Reinforcement.
As the only required course for your second verification period, it provides a quick refresher on all the program requirements while also highlighting some of the common non-conformances and key takeaways we’ve seen during the first verification period. The course went live in March and lasts about 30 minutes.
Remember, there are no changes being made to the program itself; we're keeping with the current specification requirements under RD23. This new course is designed to reinforce your learning and refresh your memory on the process, the players, and the program as a whole.
The course will eventually replace the What is Responsible Distribution 2023, with Lessons Learned – which initially introduced the new program, explained the updated 12-Code structure, and focused on lessons learned from the 7th Cycle.
Responsible Distribution is all about continuous improvement, and that’s why ASK is always looking at new ways to enhance and strengthen the program.
RD23 allows ACD members to demonstrate to suppliers, customers, and stakeholders that their business is focused on meeting the very highest standards when it comes to the environment, health, safety, security, and sustainability.
To recognize the vitally important role the Code Coordinator plays in achieving this, we’re excited to introduce the new Responsible Distribution Accreditation series – a great way for Code Coordinators to enhance their skill set and achieve professional recognition for their contributions to Responsible Distribution.
Until now, ACD members’ achievements regarding Responsible Distribution were acknowledged at a company level, but we want to shine the spotlight on these fantastic individuals who make it all happen behind the scenes.
The first offering in the Responsible Distribution Accreditation Series, Responsible Distribution Operations Professional (RDOP) is now LIVE in ACD U! This certificate offering includes a robust curriculum designed to enhance knowledge in all the foundational areas of ACD Responsible DistributionTM and give learners the knowledge necessary to understand and implement the twelve Codes of Management Practice within their organization.
Complete the 10+ hours of training and the comprehensive exam through ACD U, and you’ll be rewarded with a certificate and a digital badge —perfect for sharing on your social media or adding to a resume to showcase the great work you do.
While the certificate process is optional, it is a great opportunity for existing Code Coordinators or individuals who are new to this important role.
