For many companies, preparing for Responsible Distribution verification can feel complex. Mayzo’s recent success demonstrates how the right resources, guidance, and peer support can make the process more manageable and effective.
One way ASK Distribution Consulting supports the Alliance for Chemical Distribution’s (ACD) membership is by guiding candidates through their first verification under the ACD Responsible Distribution™ program. Among ASK’s many resources are Tuesday Talks, a monthly session for candidate members that explores different topics about responsible distribution verification and offers dedicated office hours with ASK staff.
In December 2025, a Tuesday Talks session featured a peer-to-peer conversation with Vincci Wong and Mike Tucker of Mayzo. Mayzo joined ACD in 2021 and successfully completed their first verification in October 2024. The success of that first verification led to their recognition as a runner-up for the 2025 Responsible Distribution Excellence Award. Their experience offers valuable insights for candidates currently navigating the verification process.
During the discussion, Wong and Tucker highlighted how ASK supported their success.
They emphasized the value of ASK’s comprehensive tools in helping them understand the requirements and benefits of verification. Resources such as the Gap Assessment Tool, the Templates Collection on ACD U- powered by ASK, and the ASK Verification Dashboard provided structure and clarity throughout the process.
Ongoing access to ASK staff was equally important. They were frequently in touch with multiple team members who were readily available to answer questions and provide guidance, while regular participation in Tuesday Talks offered ongoing, real-time support.
Peer connections also proved valuable. At the 2024 Spring Responsible Distribution Workshop, they connected with other code coordinators who had already completed verification and could offer practical advice drawn from their experience.
At the same time, Mayzo’s internal readiness contributed significantly to their success. The team built on existing processes developed for ISO and EcoVadis audits, allowing them to focus on aligning and presenting what they already had. As Wong reflected, “We realized we already had a lot of these procedures or items—we just needed to figure out how to bring it all together and make it presentable.” The support of ASK resources made that process more manageable, with Tucker adding: “Embracing all that ACD offers really helped us be successful and take things to another level.”
For candidates working toward verification, Mayzo’s experience reinforces an important message: you don’t have to start from scratch, and you don’t have to do it alone. ASK provides a wide range of resources to support you throughout your candidacy and beyond. As Caroline Brooks, the Senior Director of Responsible Distribution, says, “Responsible Distribution is a team sport.”
